Biography of Prof.Dr. Raid A.Ismail
Prof. Dr. Raid A. Ismail is a distinguished professor at the University of Technology in Iraq. He earned his B.Sc. from Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad, Iraq, in 1986, followed by his M.Sc. in laser material processing in 1991. He completed his Ph.D. in laser applications and photodetectors at the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, in 1995. Throughout his academic career, Prof. Dr. Ismail has supervised more than 80 M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses. He has published over 240 articles in both local and international journals and is a member of the editorial board for three international journals. His contributions to the field of photodetectors have earned him nine patents. Prof. Dr. Ismail’s research interests include nanomaterials, photodetectors, solar cells, nonlinear crystals, thin films, and laser applications. He currently serves as the Dean of the Applied Science Department at the University of Technology

- Ph.D degree in Applied Physics from University of Technology-Baghdad 1996, Thesis Topic: Laser-Induced Diffusion in Germanium.
Research Interests
- Research interests are laser-material processing, fast laser detectors, heterojunction semiconductor devices, growth of thin film, rapid thermal annealing, rapid thermal oxidation, pulsed laser deposition of TCO’s materials, spray pyrolysis deposition, and solar cells. Renewable energy, laser ablation of nanoparticles, nanostructured materials , and porous photodetector based silicon
