
Applied Sciences Organizes a Training Course for Female Staff at the University of Technology


The Women’s Affairs Unit in the Applied Sciences Department, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University of Technology, organized a training course titled:
“Managing the Emotional Mind for Female Academic and Professional Leaders.”
The course was held under Prof. Dr. Raid Abdul Wahab Ismail, Head of the Applied Sciences Department, with direct follow-up by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mayada Hamid Mohsen, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the department.
The two-day course was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Basim Kazem Khalaf, a faculty member at Wasit University, covered several key topics, including Understanding Emotional Intelligence, Developing Self-Awareness, Managing Emotions, Effective Communication, Building Relationships, Conflict Resolution, and Achieving Work-Life Balance.
This course aimed to enhance leadership skills among women in academic and professional fields by focusing on emotional intelligence. It also sought to empower participants to use their emotional skills effectively to strengthen their leadership, achieve success in their respective fields, and contribute to creating more positive and productive work environments.
