His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honoured a distinguished group of researchers from the Department of Applied Sciences.

This recognition took place during a special ceremony held at the Educational Complex at the Ministry’s headquarters, where the Minister honoured the University of Technology and sixteen of its faculty members. As has become customary, the Department of Applied Sciences claimed the largest share of outstanding researchers at the 5th edition of the Al-Ain University Award for Academic Researcher, which witnessed a remarkable presence from the University of Technology—especially the Department of Applied Sciences—by receiving numerous awards, including sixteen in the categories of Outstanding Researchers and Top Researchers in Iraqi Universities indexed in the Scopus database.

The ceremony concluded with Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi presenting awards to the winning Iraqi researchers, top-ranked academics from various Iraqi universities, and several university presidents. He also praised the efforts of those behind the organization of the 5th edition of the Al-Ain University Award, which he described as an important initiative to enrich knowledge and promote sustainable scientific innovation and expertise.
