
The Applied Sciences Research Unit organizes a lecture on “Energy Sustainability: Reality, Future Prospects, and Its Implications for Iraq.”
As part of the cultural season of the Applied Sciences Research Unit, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr Wafaa Khalid Khalaf, Director of the Applied Research Unit, a scientific lecture was held in the late Prof. Dr Abdul-Muttalib Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Hall at the department’s building.
The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Munir Al-Din Faiq, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, Al-Mustansiriyah University, under the title:
“Power Sustainability: Reality, Future Prospects, and Its Implications for Iraq.”
During the lecture, he discussed fuel, sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels, and the utilization of associated gas extracted alongside fossil fuels as a new energy source.
At the end of the session, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Raid Abdul Wahab Ismail, honoured Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Munir Al-Din Faiq as a gesture of appreciation for his valuable contribution and the scientific insights he shared with the attendees and researchers in this field.
