Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Engineer Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aqeel Majeed Kadhem Al-Saadi, President of the University of Hillah, and the slogan “With Creativity, Nations Thrive,” with the participation of a distinguished group of local and international researchers and inventors,
Dr. Maryam Dhari Kamel, a member of the preparatory committee from the Department of Biotechnology, participated in the events of the International Forum for Creativity and Innovation. She presented two research papers one individually and the other in collaboration with fourth-year students, Ghadeer Najah and Ghaith Ahmed Finjan. The forum was attended by prominent figures, including Prof. Dr. Lubna Khamees Mahdi, Director of the Department of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (representing the Minister), Dr. Enas Saeed Al-Yasiri, Advisor to the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, and Dr. Yaseen Al-Amri, Member of Parliament and Vice Chairman of the Education Committee. In his opening speech at the forum, held at the Al-Mansour Melia Hotel, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Majeed Kadhem Al-Saadi emphasized that the conference represents an important scientific platform to support innovators and creators. He noted that this scientific gathering contributes to enhancing the innovation environment and reflects Iraq’s progress in research and development. He added, “At the University of Hillah, we believe that universities are incubators of creative thought, and this forum is a step toward fostering a culture of scientific research and sustainable innovation in our academic institutions.” The Iraqi International Forum for Creativity and Innovation is considered one of the most prominent academic events celebrating young Iraqi minds and aiming to build a future based on knowledge and innovation. After the forum, the researchers were awarded the International Creativity Medal and received certificates of participation in the conference.
