As part of the Golden Jubilee Festival program and the University of Technology’s celebrations marking fifty years since its founding, the Human Rights Unit in the department held an educational lecture on the Law of Discipline for State Employees and the Code of Professional Conduct. The event took place in the late Professor Ibrahim Al-Jawadi Hall, located in the laboratories and lecture halls building.
The lecture was jointly presented by Assistant Lecturer Mais Sameer Tareq, Head of the Human Rights Unit, and Legal Affairs Officer Naba Zuhair Matrood.
The session covered several key topics, most notably an explanation and clarification of Articles 4 and 5 of State Employees Law No. 14 of 1991, which detail the duties of employees and the prohibitions imposed on them. Additionally, the lecture addressed the Code of Professional Conduct, which includes a set of rules and clauses outlining the behaviours prohibited for employees during the performance of their public duties.
