The Information Technology Department organized a training course titled “Determining Drug Toxicity and Absorption Using Computers” for postgraduate students across all branches of the department.
The course was held in the late Professor Dr. Abdul Muttalib Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Hall in the department building.
The course focused on detecting drug toxicity and absorption using computers through computational methods, simulations, and data analysis tools. Computational models and simulations utilize molecular structure data and interactions to predict drug toxicity and absorption, which accelerates its development and reduces reliance on animal testing.
At the end of the workshop, postgraduate students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the department’s administration for organizing such courses aimed at enriching their knowledge and practical experience to successfully complete their theses and research projects.
